Smelters that have completed an RMAP audit are considered to be DRC-Conflict Free.
In cases where the smelter’s due diligence practices have not been audited against the RMAP standard, a potential supply chain risk exists.
Seller commits to supply only those conflict minerals that are sourced either exclusively from recycled or scrap sources or RMAP approved smelters or originate outside of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and adjoining countries (“conflict free” minerals).
