Returned ACH definition

Returned ACH means the return of a pre-authorized debit to a customer specified account. The refusal to honor may be due to the issuer not having sufficient funds with the drawee at the time the ACH debit was issued or presented for payment, or payment was refused by the drawee for reasons other than seizure or attachment of the issuer's funds by order of a court or authorized governmental agency.

Examples of Returned ACH in a sentence

  • Systemic resubmission of any Returned ACH items shall be subject to the limitations, restrictions, deadlines and other requirements of the Nacha rules, as in effect from time to time.

  • If an item is returned because the available balance in Your account is not sufficient to cover the item and the item is presented for payment again, we will charge a Returned ACH or Returned Deposit Fee each time we return the item because it exceeds the available balance in Your account.
