Return Receipt Requested letter to the member to verify the move. The member must sign for the letter. A copy of the letter and the signed return receipt must be sent to the Department or its designee within 20 days of the member’s signature date. If this criteria is met, the effective date of the disenrollment is the first of the month in which the returned registered receipt requested letter was sent. Documentation that fails to meet the 20-day criteria will result in disenrollment the first of the month in which the County supplied information to the Department of its designee. This policy does not apply to extended service area requests that have been approved by the County unless the member moves out of the extended service area or the County’s service area.   • Unless otherwise specified, all notices, requests, or other communications required or appropriate to be given under the Contract shall be in writing and shall be deemed delivered three (3) business days after postmarked if sent by U.S. Postal Service Certified or Registered Mail, Return Receipt Requested.
