Return from Leave definition

Return from Leave. The teacher on leave of absence must signify in writing on or before January 31, his/her intent to return to his/her duties at the opening of the next school term. Failure to signify such intent will cancel the leave of absence and the teacher shall forfeit any right or claims to his/her former position.
Return from Leave. Employees who take leave shall be entitled, on return from leave, to be restored to the position of employment held by the employee when the leave commenced or be restored to an equivalent position with equivalent employment benefits, pay, and other terms and conditions of employment.
Return from Leave. An employee on a family leave as provided herein will be eligible to return to the same position he/she vacated prior to the leave. An employee may be required to provide a statement from a physician verifying that he/she is medically fit to return to work.

Return from Leave. An employee, upon returning from FMLA leave, will be reinstated to the same or an equivalent position subject to the rules of the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993. Medical certification may be required verifying an employee’s ability to return to work from FMLA leave for the employee’s health condition.
