Restaurant, specialty definition
Restaurant, specialty means an eating establishment where the primary activity is selling one or more of the following specialty food or beverage products for on- or off-premises consumption: coffee, tea, juice, smoothies, ice cream, frozen yogurt, cookies, or similar specialty food or beverage. A specialty restaurant offers seating, and includes, but is not limited to, coffee and tea houses, juice bars, and ice cream/frozen yogurt shops. Such an establishment may include limited service of preprepared foods including but not limited to salads, soups, and sandwiches. A specialty restaurant does not require a full kitchen, and does not include formula specialty restaurants that are required by contractual or other arrangement to offer standardized menus, ingredients, food preparation, employee uniforms, interior decor, signage, or exterior design.
