Response Work definition

Response Work means all activities Settling Defendants are required to perform under this Consent Decree, except those required by Section XVI (Natural Resource Restoration Efforts) and Section XXVII (Retention of Records).
Response Work means the performance of services related to identifying and investigating contamination or other environmental conditions at a Site, evaluating remedial options, and designing, and providing detailed engineering services precedent to the implementation of remedial measures in response to environmental conditions at a Site or preparing and providing risk assessments and/or endangerment assessments of the Site. Response Work includes services related to the performance of Remedial Investigations, Feasibility Studies, Engineering Evaluations, Cost Analyses, Remedial Design. It also includes services related to the performance of RCRA Facility
Response Work means implementation of a Removal or Remedy at Operable Units 2 and 4 (or, in accordance with Section 3.05 of this Agreement, Operable Unit 3) of the Diamond Alkali Site pursuant to the requirements of an administrative order issued by or entered into with EPA or a consent decree entered into with EPA including, without limitation, the performance of remedial investigations, feasibility studies, remedial designs, remedial actions, engineering evaluations, cost analyses, and removal actions as those terms are defined in CERCLA and the National Contingency Plan; provided, however, that Response Work does not include any Excluded Costs.

Examples of Response Work in a sentence

  • If any Lessee Contamination is discovered, Lessee shall immediately initiate Lessee Environmental Response Work as prescribed in this Agreement.

  • All Lessee Environmental Response Work shall be reported to each governmental regulatory entity with jurisdiction on an ongoing basis, and Lessee shall diligently attempt to obtain written concurrence from such each such regulatory entity that all Lessee Environmental Response Work has been satisfactorily performed and completed.

  • Lessee shall be solely responsible at its expense for promptly, diligently and thoroughly investigating, monitoring, reporting on, responding to, and cleaning up to completion any and all such Lessee Contamination, in full conformance to Applicable Environmental Laws (collectively the "Lessee Environmental Response Work").

  • All Lessee Environmental Response Work shall be reported to each governmental regulatory entity with jurisdiction on an ongoing basis, and Lessee shall diligently attempt to attain written concurrence each such regulatory entity that all Lessee Environmental Response Work has been satisfactorily performed and completed.

  • LPHA must have on file with OHA an approved Community Response Work Plan no later than November 1st of each year.

  • LPHA must implement its PDO prevention activities in accordance with its approved Community Response Work Plan.

  • If any FLPC Contamination is discovered, FLPC shall immediately initiate FLPC Environmental Response Work as prescribed in this Agreement.

  • All GSV Environmental Response Work shall be reported to each governmental regulatory entity with jurisdiction on an ongoing basis, and GSV shall diligently attempt to obtain written concurrence from each such regulatory entity that all GSV Environmental Response Work has been satisfactorily performed and completed.

  • FLPC shall be solely responsible at its expense for promptly, diligently and thoroughly investigating, monitoring, reporting on, responding to, and cleaning up to completion any and all such FLPC Contamination, in full conformance to Applicable Environmental Laws (collectively the "FLPC Environmental Response Work").


More Definitions of Response Work

Response Work means the performance of services related to identifying and investigating contamination or other environmental conditions at a Site, evaluating remedial options, and designing, and providing detailed engineering services precedent to the implementation of remedial measures in response to environmental conditions at a Site or preparing and providing risk assessments and/or endangerment assessments of the Site. Response Work includes services related to the performance of Remedial Investigations, Feasibility Studies, Engineering Evaluations, Cost Analyses, Remedial Design, as those terms are defined in the NCP. It also includes services related to the performance of RCRA Facility Investigations, and Corrective Measures Studies as those terms are described under the hazardous waste management program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (U.S.E.P.A.). However, for purposes of this Agreement, Response Work does not include construction-type activities such as are associated with the terms “Removal” or “Remedial Action” as defined in the NCP or “Corrective Action” as defined by U.S.E.P.A.’s hazardous waste regulations.

Response Work means the following work at Operable Units 2 and 4 of the Diamond Alkali Site: a) services related to the performance of Remedial Investigations, Feasibility Studies, Engineering Evaluations, Cost Analyses, Remedial Design, Removal Actions, Natural Resource Damage Assessment, and Restoration, as those terms are defined in the NCP, CERCLA, OPA or their state government equivalents; b) services for the performance of Facility Investigations and Corrective Measures Studies as those terms are defined under RCRA; and c) work performed at Operable Units 2 and 4 of the Diamond Alkali Site pursuant to requirements of eligible administrative orders or consent decrees and consistent with the National Contingency Plan and Environmental Law; provided, however, that Response Work does not include any Excluded Costs.

Related to Response Work

  • Response activity means evaluation, interim response activity, remedial action, demolition, providing an alternative water supply, or the taking of other actions necessary to protect the public health, safety, or welfare, or the environment or the natural resources. Response activity also includes health assessments or health effect studies carried out under the supervision, or with the approval of, the department of community health and enforcement actions related to any response activity.

  • piece-work means any work the pay for which is estimated by the amount of work performed irrespective of the time occupied in its performance;

  • Response Deadline means 60 days after the Administrator mails Notice to Class Members and Aggrieved Employees, and shall be the last date on which Class Members may: (a) fax, email, or mail Requests for Exclusion from the Settlement, or (b) fax, email, or mail his or her Objection to the Settlement. Class Members to whom Notice Packets are resent after having been returned undeliverable to the Administrator shall have an additional 14 calendar days beyond the Response Deadline has expired.

  • Response Costs means all costs, including, but not limited to, direct and indirect costs, that the United States incurs in monitoring and supervising Respondents’ performance of the Work to determine whether such performance is consistent with the requirements of this Order, including costs incurred in reviewing deliverables submitted pursuant to this Order, as well as costs incurred in overseeing implementation of this Order, including, but not limited to, payroll costs, contractor costs, travel costs, and laboratory costs.]

  • Response Period has the meaning set forth in Section 9.6(a).
