Resilire definition

Resilire comes from Latin and means “to recoil”. This definition is still valid today as “Resilient” means to recoil or spring back into shape after bending, stretching, or being compressed: a shoe with resilient cushioning. In case of humans and animals, it refers to being able to withstand or recover quickly from difficult conditions (Kadner 1989; American Psychological Association 2014).
