  • If the Indexed Cost Of Living Benefit Rider is part of the policy, we will use the Adjusted Basic Monthly Benefit to calculate the Disability Benefit for Residual Disability.

More Definitions of Residual Disability

Residual Disability means only an incapacity which meets all of the following standards:
Residual Disability means being Partially Disabled during the Elimination Period. Residual Disability will be considered Total Disability; and (2) after a Monthly Benefit has been paid for 24 months, an Insured cannot perform the material duties of any occupation. Any occupation is one that the Insured's education, training or experience will reasonably allow. We consider the Insured Totally Disabled if due to an Injury or Sickness he or she is capable of only performing the material duties on a part-time basis or part of the material duties on a Full-time basis. If an Insured is employed by you and requires a license for such occupation, the loss of such license for any reason does not in and of itself constitute "Total Disability".

  • Disability Retirement Date means the first day of the month following the last day of paid employment;

  • Complete Disability as used herein shall mean the inability of Employee, due to illness, accident, or other physical or mental incapacity, to perform the services required under the Agreement for an aggregate of ninety (90) days within any period of 180 consecutive days during the term hereof; provided, however, that disability shall not constitute a basis for discharge for cause;

  • Pregnancy disability means a pregnancy-related medical condition or miscarriage.

  • Disability or Disabled means that during the Elimination Period and your Own Occupation Period you are, as a result of Physical Disease, Injury, Mental Disorder, Substance Abuse or Pregnancy, unable to perform one or more of the Material Duties of your Own Occupation, and, due to such inability, your Work Earnings are less than 80% of your Indexed Predisability Earnings, and you are incapable of earning 80% or more of your Indexed Predisability Earnings.   • Long-Term Disability means the Grantee is receiving long-term disability benefits under the Employer’s long-term disability plan.

  • Qualified individual with a disability means an individual with a disability who satisfies the requisite skill, experience, education and other job-related requirements of the employment position such individual holds or desires, and who, with or without reasonable accommodation, can perform the essential functions of such position.
