Research Context. In legal research, the context is important for a better understanding of the circumstances in which the research was conducted. Context also helps to understand the characteristics of the research input in order to determine the possible generalization of the research output. This section describes the context in which the research was conducted. Sequentially, Rwanda and the EAC are introduced first, followed by a brief explanation of the choice of the EU and OECD as references.
