Replicon definition

Replicon means an RNA molecule(s) that comprises a gene encoding a polymerase that can, when the RNA molecule(s) is introduced into a cell, replicate the same or a different RNA molecule(s), that also comprises a gene or a sequence encoding at least one non-human polypeptide that is capable of eliciting an immune response (an “Antigen”) and does not comprise the full set of genes required to make an infectious virus and is capable, when introduced into a cell, of expressing detectable levels of the encoded Antigen.
