Remote Terminal Units (RTU) means a device suitable for measuring, recording and storing the consumption of Electricity or any other quantity related with electrical system and status of the equipment in real time basis and exchanging such information with the data acquisition system for display and control and shall include, wherever applicable, other equipments such as transducers, relays etc., with necessary wiring and accessories;
