Remote Intelligent Gateway (RIG) definition
Remote Intelligent Gateway (RIG) means a device functionally defined by the ISO and used to directly telemeter secure operational data from a Generating Unit to the ISO EMS and to provide direct control of the Generating Unit by the ISO. Installation of a RIG is a prerequisite for participation in the ISO AGC/Regulation market.
