Relief Worker definition

Relief Worker means a homecare or personal support worker who provides services in place of a homecare or personal support worker who is unavailable. This term is synonymous with "substitute worker".
Relief Worker means a person called occasionally by the Employer to supplement regular staff coverage or to replace an absent employee and are not guaranteed any specific number of hours of work.
Relief Worker is an employee who is not regularly scheduled to work but is called in to fill in for absences of regular employees.

  • Whenever possible, the HCW Relief Worker shall receive their voucher prior to beginning services, but no later than seven (7) days from the date relief services began.
