Relief Pool definition

Relief Pool means the relief available to cover Long-term Leave Arrangements and exceptional circumstances.

  • Operators in the Relief Pool are the designated first source of replacements for leave coverage including vacation leaves, sick leaves, dependent care, union leave or jury duties.

  • Both parties recognize that employees outside of the Relief Pool are assigned for coverage by seniority on a rotation basis.

  • WSF Bid Administrator shall contact Mates in the Extra Relief Pool by telephone.

  • Extended temporary positions that have not been filled by the bid process above shall be offered to the most senior Mates in the Extra Relief Pool.

  • The order in which the employee will participate in the Relief Pool Unit will be by seniority.

  • To remain active in the Relief Pool at any particular program the employee must be willing and able to accept a minimum of eight (8) hours of work in any two (2) consecutive pay periods within the employee’s pre-declared hours of availability if it is offered with reasonable notice (at least two-and-one-half (2½) hours) at least two (2) documented times within the two (2) consecutive pay periods.

  • A premium of two dollars and fifty cents ($2.50) per hour will be paid to technicians, pharmacists, and assistants who are assigned to the Relief Pool.
