Reform Project definition

Reform Project is set forth in Section 1.2(c) of the Compact. To accomplish the Reform Project Objective, the Project shall strengthen the laws, policies, and regulations governing Senegal’s electricity sector, as well as the institutions responsible for implementing them, particularly the utility (“Senelec”), the regulator (the Commission de Régulation du Secteur de l’Electricité or “CRSE”), and the ministry responsible for energy and petroleum (“Ministry of Energy”). The Reform Project builds on the participatory electricity sector planning process (the “Roadmap”) supported by MCC under the CDF Agreement. Through the Roadmap, the Government has articulated and selected a long-term vision for Senegal’s electricity sector, key features of which include an operational re-organization of the sector that allows for Senelec to become a public holding company, with separate and autonomous production, transmission and distribution subsidiaries; a re-organization of sales and the off-grid system; a stronger enabling environment for the private sector in production, transmission, distribution, and sales; and a complementary legal, institutional and regulatory framework. Examples of Reform Project in a sentence

  • The due diligence for the tax administration aspects of the Revenue Administration Reform Project was undertaken in close cooperation with the IMF’s Fiscal Affairs Division as well as with the World Bank’s National Program Supporting Tax Administration Reform program to support tax reform efforts in the Philippines.

  • Beneficiary analysis for the Revenue Administration Reform Project is undertaken at the level of the overall Project since the incidence of benefits from each Activity is expected to be spread broadly throughout the Philippine population.

  • The Grant is funded out of the Multi-Donor Trust Fund for Sierra Leone: Integrated Public Financial Management Reform Project, for which the World Bank receives periodic contributions.

  • MCC and the Government engaged extensively with USAID, particularly with Power Africa, throughout the definition and development of the Reform Project.

  • The Recipient shall ensure that the PSC established under the ADB-financed Education Sector Reform Project shall assume the role of the PSC under this Project and provide overall guidance and coordination for Project implementation.

  • Shall follow the state approved San Bernardino RBS Plan, as prescribed in Attachment I, Exhibits 1,2 and 3, for the RBS Reform Project.

  • Will, at the request of the county submitted in the form of the Waiver Request deliverable, consider a state waiver of specific regulations under the waiver authority granted in W&IC Section 18987.7. In addition, technical assistance will be provided to the county to identify opportunities within existing law and regulation that can be used to implement the RBS Reform Project, where appropriate and feasible, pursue other waiver authority to remove barriers to implementation.

  • The Reform Project objective is to create an enabling environment to improve the financial viability of, and to ensure good governance in, the power sector, with the intent of improving the quality and quantity of the electricity supply.

  • Agrees to participate in any state RBS Reform Project meetings, and site visits conducted by the state or its designee.

  • In addition to the sustainability benefits inherent in the project design of the Power Sector Reform Project and the ENRMAP, the sustainability of the Infrastructure Development Project will also heavily depend on a robust maintenance regime for generation, transmission and distribution assets.
