Reference Weather Station definition

Reference Weather Station means the weather station engaged in the study or monitoring of weather or atmospheric observations as stated in Schedule I, the data from which will be used for the purpose of determining the Observed Weather Index, Exit Index and Strike Index for payment of compensation and claim settlement under this Policy.
Reference Weather Station means the India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) weather station (or stations set up by departments of State Government, Research Institute, Universities or other independent weather stations set up private data providers) to record various weather parameters (to be specified for each individual policy).

  • For a Reference Weather Station, CDD for each day is equal to the greater of (i) the non-rounded average of the daily high and daily low temperatures in Reference Degrees from and including 12:01 AM on that day to and including 12:00 AM on the next day local time as measured by Reporting Service, and reported by the Reporting Agency, for the Reference Weather Station minus the Reference Basis or (ii) zero.

  • Reference Weather Station: means the primary weather station as specified in the Schedule, the weather data of which would be utilised to compute the Observed Weather Index during the Policy Period for the purpose of claims calculation and settlement under the policy.12.
