Reduction in Work Force definition

Reduction in Work Force means a management action taken for non-disciplinary reasons in which an employee is laid off from employment. The RIF may take place for reasons including, but not limited to: elimination of programs; reduction in FTEs by the legislature; lack of work; lack of funds; expiration of grants; reorganization of a state agency; or privatization of a service normally or traditionally provided
Reduction in Work Force means a management action taken for non- disciplinary reasons in which an employee is laid off. The reduction in force may take place for reasons including elimination of programs, lack of work, lack of funds, expiration of grants, or reorganization.
Reduction in Work Force as used herein shall refer toa separation of Employees from employment with the Center.

Examples of Reduction in Work Force in a sentence

  • Where there is a simultaneous requirement to implement Article XII-Transfers and Promotions, and Article XIII - Reduction in Work Force, all labour moves required under Article XII will be planned before Article XIII is put into effect.

  • The MTA Negotiation Team and the ▇▇▇▇▇ USD 226 Negotiation Team will meet during the 2017-18 school year to revise the evaluation section (4) of Article XV - Reduction in Work Force to match the current E4e Evaluation Instrument currently used in the district.

Related to Reduction in Work Force

  • Reduction in Force means abolition of positions in an agency or part of an agency and the corresponding nondisciplinary removal of affected employees from such positions through separation from employment or through displacement to other positions.

  • Scope of Work means the description of Services and Deliverables specified in the Contract and as may be amended.
