Recency definition

Recency or “recency of experience” means the requirement of a Captain or First 32 Officer to make at least three takeoffs and landings within a 90-day period under FAR 33 121.439.

More Definitions of Recency

Recency. The first aspect of the past performance evaluation will be to assess how recent the proposed accomplishments by the offeror are. Past performance efforts are considered recent if they are ongoing, or performance has occurred in the past three (3) years.  Relevancy: The second aspect of the past performance evaluation will be to assess the offeror's past performance to determine how relevant a recent effort accomplished by the offeror is associated with systems of similar complexity to the services required by PMFSS. Relevancy is not separately rated; however, the following criteria will be used to establish what is relevant which will include similarity of service/support, complexity, dollar value, contract type, and degree of subcontract/teaming. Relevant is defined as those contracts associated with services related the technical requirements closely associated to those defined by the PM supporting missions both CONUS and OCONUS required by this contract. Relevant contracts are defined as those encompassing similar scope as this contract requires.
Recency is defined as performance within 5 years of the date of this proposal submission.
