REC-1 definition

REC-1 means contact water recreation: Uses of water for recreational activities involving body contact with water, where ingestion of water is reasonably possible. These uses include, but are not limited to, swimming, wading, water-skiing, skin and scuba diving, surfing, white water activities, fishing, or use of natural hot springs.

Examples of REC-1 in a sentence

  • The Licensee shall conduct bacteriological monitoring 36 (consistent with Basin Plan objectives for protection of the REC-1 beneficial uses) at 37 a total of 10 locations within the Project boundaries.

  • The listed uses potentially impacted by the discharge are groundwater recharge (GWR), cold freshwater habitat (COLD), warm freshwater habitat (WARM), preservation of rare, threatened or endangered species (RARE), fish spawning (SPWN), wildlife habitat (WILD), contact water recreation (REC-1), non-contact water recreation (REC-2), and municipal and domestic water supply (MUN).

  • Regarding the municipal and domestic supply (MUN) and water contact recreation (REC-1) beneficial uses, the effluent limitations prescribed in the Permit were developed based on water quality criteria established for the protection of human health.

  • The Water Quality Control Plan for the San Diego Basin (Basin Plan) designates the following Beneficial Uses for Tecolote Creek: Contact Water Recreation (REC-1, Potential), Non-contact Water Recreation (REC-2), Warm Freshwater Habitat (WARM) and Wildlife Habitat (WILD).

  • This MOU as effected does not prevent or prohibit REC1 and SCHOOLNAME from entering additional agreements that both parties find mutually beneficial.
