As part of the agreement on staffing, the Gravure Make Ready position on a shift(s) that does not have a Gravure Make Ready person and the Company deems it necessary to fill this vacant position(s) on an as needed basis, it shall be recognized as a position in the Press line of progression above the Ink Room Attendant and shall be covered using the rules for promotion up the line of progression under Article 8 & 9.
If an employee is promoted to the Gravure make Ready position for a period of four (4) hours or more in one shift, the employee will receive the $1.00 premium for the entire shift and promotions within the line of progression shall be initiated to back fill the vacancy created, when needed.
