R&D Purpose definition

R&D Purpose means Oracle’s access, storing, and use of Customer Data for the following Business Purposes (as defined by the Rules): to analyze, develop, improve, and optimize the use, function and performance of Oracle products and services; to manage the security of websites, networks and systems and the products and services Oracle provides to our customers; and to comply with applicable laws and regulations and to operate our business. Examples of R&D Purpose in a sentence

  • Oracle may store or transfer Customer Data on a global basis as necessary for the R&D Purpose.

  • Each party is a Data Controller (as defined in the Rules) with regard to the use and processing of Customer Data for the R&D Purpose permitted in this Agreement.

  • Oracle will process Personal Data for the R&D Purpose based on Oracle’s legitimate interests when such processing has been determined solely by Oracle to have a limited privacy impact on the individual or as necessary for compliance with Oracle’s legal obligations.

  • Oracle will not use the Personal Data processed for the R&D Purpose to make decisions related to an individual’s eligibility for employment, credit, healthcare, or insurance purposes or to make decisions solely by automatic means where the decision has a legal or significant effect on the individual, or in any way that may or does discriminate against any person or promote bigotry, racism or harm.

  • Oracle will not knowingly process Customer Data that contains Personal Data of children under 16 years of age or Personal Data that is “sensitive” or “special” under applicable data protection laws for the R&D Purpose.

Related to R&D Purpose

  • Agreed Purpose has the meaning given to it in clause 2 of this Agreement.

  • Intended Purpose means the purpose for which the Technical Information is provided to the Supplier under or in connection with a Contract.

  • Approved Purpose means the purpose or purposes set out in item 1 of Schedule 1.
