Rational Method definition

Rational Method means an empirical method used to determine the maximum rate of runoff based on the formula Q = CIA, where Q is approximately equal to the peak rate of flow in cubic feet per second, C is a runoff coefficient, I is the average intensity of rainfall, and A is the contributing basin area in acres.
Rational Method means the commonly used equation for peak flow estimation known as the Rational Method.
