Public office under this Article is defined to include only those offices set out in Article 29.02.
Public office shall be deemed to be municipal, provincial and federal offices.
Public office shall include but is not limited to, Municipal, Provincial, and Federal levels of Government, as well as Union and any other labour organization positions.
An employee of the Company elected or appointed to a full time Federal, Provincial or local Public office shall be granted a leave of absence by the Company.
The Employer may grant an employee who is elected or selected for a full-time position with the Union or who has been offered a paid position within the Union or who is elected into Public office, a leave of absence without wages and benefits for a period not to exceed four (4) years provided that the employee retains the necessary skill and ability to return to the workplace following such leave.
