Public Official definition

Public Official means (i) any officer, employee or representative of any regional, federal, state, provincial, county or municipal government or government department, agency or other division; (ii) any officer, employee or representative of any commercial enterprise that is owned or controlled by a government, including any state-owned or controlled veterinary or medical facility; (iii) any officer, employee or representative of any public international organization, such as the African Union, the International Monetary Fund, the United Nations or the World Bank; and (iv) any person acting in an official capacity for any government or government entity, enterprise or organization identified above.

Public Official means any executive, official, or employee of a Governmental Authority, political party or member of a political party, political candidate; executive, employee or officer of a public international organization; or director, officer or employee or agent of a wholly owned or partially state-owned or controlled enterprise, including a PRC state-owned or controlled enterprise.

Public Official means any person holding a legislative, administrative, managerial, political or judicial post in any country, or exercising any public function in any country or a director or employee of a public authority or of a legal person controlled by a public authority of any country, or a director or official of a public international organisation; and

• In particular and in accordance with the abovementioned laws and conventions, the SHIPPER undertakes to abstain (and to cause its directors, employees and/or agents to abstain) from, directly or indirectly, offering, promising, giving, paying or accepting any Public Official’s request for a gift, or authorizing anyone to give or pay, directly or indirectly, any sums, other benefits or advantages or anything of value to or for a Public Official.

• If Owner is not required pursuant to (1) or (2) above to recuse him/herself from a decision related to Xxxxxxx’s Development Rights, Owner shall, in advance of any vote or other official action on the Development Rights, disclose the existence of this Agreement (but not the financial terms therein) at an open meeting of the relevant governmental entity Owner serves on as a Public Official.

• Additionally, if Owner is a Public Official and any of Owner’s spouse, child or other dependent has a financial interest in the Project, Owner shall disclose such relationship (but not the financial terms thereof) at an open meeting of the relevant governmental entity Owner serves on as a Public Official, prior to participation in any decision related to Xxxxxxx’s Development Rights.

• If Owner is not required pursuant to (1) or (2) above to recuse him/herself from a decision related to Xxxxxx ’s Development Rights, Owner shall, in advance of any vote or other official action on the Development Rights, disclose the existence of this Agreement (but not the financial terms therein) at an open meeting of the relevant governmental entity Owner serves on as a Public Official.

More Definitions of Public Official

Public Official means: (i) any person holding a legislative, executive, administrative or judicial office of a State Party, whether appointed or elected, whether permanent or temporary, whether paid or unpaid, irrespective of that person’s seniority; (ii) any other person who performs a public function, including for a public agency or public enterprise, or provides a public service, as defined in the domestic law of the State Party and as applied in the pertinent area of law of that State Party; (iii) any other person defined as a “public official” in the domestic law of a State Party. However, for the purpose of some specific measures contained in chapter II of this Convention, “public official” may mean any person who performs a public function or provides a public service as defined in the domestic law of the State Party and as applied in the pertinent area of law of that State Party;

Public Official means an employee of a Governmental Authority, a member of a political party, a political candidate, an officer of a public international organization, or an officer or employee of a state-owned enterprise, including a PRC state-owned enterprise.

Public Official means any person who, when an alleged violation of this chapter occurs, is serving the State of Oregon or any of its political subdivisions or any other public body of the state as an officer, employee, agent or otherwise, and irrespective of whether the person is compensated for such services.”

Public Official means:

Public Official. ’ means an officer (includ- ing the President and a Member of Congress), a member of the uniformed service, an em- ployee and any other individual, in whom is vested the authority by law, rule, or regula- tion, or to whom the authority has been dele- gated, to appoint, employ, promote, or ad- vance individuals, or to recommend individ- uals for appointment, employment, pro- motion, or advancement in connection with employment in an agency; and

Public Official means any person holding a legislative, administrative or judicial office, including any person employed by or acting on behalf of a Governmental Authority.

Public Official means any elected or appointed officer, or employee, or agent of the state or any political subdivision, whether in a temporary or permanent capacity, and includes, but is not limited to, legislators, judges, and law enforcement officers.
