Public hack definition

Public hack or "hack" means any public vehicle whose owner or driver secures or accepts passengers for hire on the public streets, or in public or quasi-public places, except carriages as defined in division (a) of Section 447.01 and vehicles operated by the Cleveland Regional Transit Authority.

  • Public highway means a public highway, road, street, avenue, alley, or thoroughfare of any kind, or a bridge, tunnel, or subway used by the public.

  • public hospital means a governmental entity of a political subdivision of the state of Iowa that is authorized by legislative authority.
