Provider appeal definition

Provider appeal means an appeal to the department filed by a Medicaid-enrolled or network service provider that has already provided a service to an enrollee and has received an adverse reconsideration decision regarding service authorization, payment, or audit result.
Provider appeal means an appeal filed by a Medicare, Medicaid, or other service provider that has already provided a service and has received an action regarding payment or audit result.
Provider appeal means process by which a provider may challenge any adverse action, decision or policy of the RBHA or ADHS.

Examples of Provider appeal in a sentence

  • Medicaid HMOs must contract with physicians who are not Network Providers to resolve claims disputes related to denial on the basis of medical necessity that remain unresolved subsequent to a Provider appeal.

  • Contractor shall implement and maintain a Provider appeal process.

  • The Contractor agrees to report its Provider appeal data and utilization management outcomes to the Department utilizing the standardized report form specified by the Department.
