Protection and "Protective Services" means necessary actions taken as soon as possible to prevent subsequent abuse or exploitation of the individual, to prevent self-destructive acts, and to safeguard an individual's person, property, and funds.
Accessory dwelling unit means a habitable living unit added to, created within, or detached from a primary single-family dwelling and contained on one lot.
Generation Unit means a facility that converts a fuel or an energy resource into electrical energy.
Diversion unit means any probation counselor who enters into
Production Unit means a facility for generation of electricity made up of a single generation unit or of an aggregation of generation units;
Procurement Unit means the unit or department within GRDA that is responsible for administering procurement policies and procedures.
Spending unit means the department, bureau, division, office, board, commission,
Cogeneration unit means a unit that is able to operate in cogeneration mode;
Affordable Unit means a housing unit proposed or created pursuant to the Act and approved for crediting by the Court and/or funded through an affordable housing trust fund.
Project Coordination Unit or “PCU” means the unit referred to in Section II (2) of Schedule 4 to this Agreement;
Fire Protection means all aspects of fire safety including but not limited to fire prevention, firefighting or Fire Suppression, pre-fire planning, fire investigation, public education and information, training or other staff development;
Application Unit means such number of Units or whole multiples thereof as specified in this Prospectus or such other whole multiple of Units determined by the Manager, approved by the Trustee and notified to the Participating Dealers.
Creation Unit means an aggregation of a specified number of Shares as stated in the Prospectus for the applicable Fund.
Sewage sludge weight means the weight of sewage sludge, in dry U.S. tons, including admixtures such as liming materials or bulking agents. Monitoring frequencies for sewage sludge parameters are based on the reported sludge weight generated in a calendar year (use the most recent calendar year data when the NPDES permit is up for renewal).
Affordable Housing Unit means a rental unit in an affordable housing building that rents for an amount that is affordable to households at or below 60 percent of area median income, as median income was most recently determined by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development for the Minneapolis- St. Paul- Bloomington, Minnesota-Wisconsin Metropolitan Statistical Area, as adjusted for household size and number of bedrooms.
Housing Unit means a single-family dwelling (where construction has commenced), whether detached or attached (including condominiums but excluding mobile homes), including the parcel of land on which such dwelling is located, that is or will be available for sale by the Borrower or a Guarantor. The construction of a Housing Unit shall be deemed to have commenced upon commencement of the trenching for the foundation of the Housing Unit. Each “Housing Unit” is either a Presold Unit, a Spec Unit or a Model Unit.
Boiler means an enclosed fossil or other fuel-fired combustion device used to produce heat and to transfer heat to recirculating water, steam, or other medium.
Market Monitoring Unit means the consulting or other professional services firm, or other similar entity, retained by the Board, as specified in Section 30.4.2 of Attachment O, that is responsible for carrying out the Core Market Monitoring Functions and the other functions that are assigned to it in Attachment O. The Market Monitoring Unit shall recommend Tariff and market rule changes, but shall not participate in the administration of the ISO’s Tariffs, except as specifically authorized in Attachment O.
All-terrain vehicle means either of the following:
Local public procurement unit means any political subdivision or unit thereof which expends public funds for the procurement of supplies, services, or construction.
Flood protection system means those physical structural works for which funds have been authorized, appropriated, and expended and which have been constructed specifically to modify flooding in order to reduce the extent of the area within a community subject to a "special flood hazard" and the extent of the depths of associated flooding. Such a system typically includes hurricane tidal barriers, dams, reservoirs, levees or dikes. These specialized flood modifying works are those constructed in conformance with sound engineering standards.
Nominal tomographic section thickness means the full width at half-maximum of the sensitivity profile taken at the center of the cross-sectional volume over which x-ray transmission data are collected.
Utility vehicle means a motor vehicle that is (i) designed for off-road use, (ii) powered by an
Negative pressure respirator (tight fitting) means a respirator in which the air pressure inside the facepiece is negative during inhalation with respect to the ambient air pressure outside the respirator.
Dwelling unit means a single unit providing complete, independent living facilities for one or more persons, including permanent provisions for living, sleeping, eating, cooking and sanitation.
Backpressure means a pressure (caused by a pump, elevated tank or piping, boiler, or other means) on the consumer's side of the service connection that is greater than the pressure provided by the public water system and which may cause backflow.
