Proper shoes definition
Proper shoes means something different depending on where you are playing. You need to wear smooth-soled shoes to play tennis on the Har- Tru (courts 1-4). The picture to the left is a smooth-soled shoe. DO NOT play on the Har-Tru courts in any other shoe. That means no crocs, flip- flops, cross trainers, or dimpled sole shoes. If you play on the hard courts (courts 5 & 6), you can wear smooth sole or dimple sole shoes like cross- trainers. However, please make sure they are non-scuffing soles. Some black soled shoes mark up the hard courts.
