Project Assistant definition

Project Assistant a graduate student employed on a salaried basis to perform work related to academic research, including but not limited to the gathering and analysis of data, the development of theoretical analyses and models, the production or publication of scholarly journals and research reports, which is primarily for the benefit of the University, faculty or academic staff supervisor, or a granting agency, and is secondarily for the graduate student employee's own research.

Project Assistant means an enrolled graduate student who is assigned to conduct training, administrative responsibilities or other academic or academic support projects or programs, except regular preparation of instructional materials for courses or manual or clerical assignments, under the supervision of a member of the faculty or academic staff, primarily for the benefit of the university, faculty or academic staff supervisor or a granting agency.

Project Assistant means a person engaged to perform program support and administrative duties under the direction of the project manager or another employee with delegated supervisory responsibility. Such an employee may also provide limited direct support to clients of the service undertaking self paced instructional packages and/or open access activities. While the employee would operate within clearly defined guidelines with readily observable outcomes, he/she may be expected to exercise limited discretion and solve minor problems arising from the course of their duties.
