Probational definition

Probational means an employee employed on probation against a permanent vacancy and who is yet to be confirmed.

Examples of Probational in a sentence

  • New employees shall be employed as either full-time, part-time, casual or Probational employees at point of engagement.

  • Probational employees shall not utilize paid sick leave allowance or personal days until they have successfully completed their six (6) month probationary period.

  • Full-Time Campus Police Officers Probational Status shall be for a period of two (2) year from the date of hire as a Full-Time Police Officer, regardless of any prior service in any capacity with the College, except that a Part Time Campus Police Officer who is made a Full Time Campus Police Officer shall only serve a total of two (2) years as his/her probationary period.

  • Probational employees responding with the FTO may receive overtime, in accordance with Article 20, Overtime, but shall not receive Standby Pay.

  • Full-Time or Part-Time Radio Operator/Dispatchers Probational Status shall be for a period of one (1) year from the date of hire as a Full or Part Time Radio Operator/Dispatcher, regardless of any prior service in any capacity with the College.

  • Part-Time Campus Police Officers Probational Status shall be for a period of two (2) years from the date of hire as a Part-Time Police Officer, regardless of any prior service in any capacity with the College.
