Private sewer main definition

Private sewer main means a sewer which is not owned or maintained by the City.
Private sewer main means a private sewer which serves multiple buildings to convey sewage to the public sewer. It includes all components of the private sewer main including the entire point of connection to the public sewer and any lateral sewer or building sewer connected to it.
Private sewer main means a privately owned and maintained sewer main which has all of the following characteristics: (1) running generally in or along a city street or platted city street right-of-way or in an established public or private utility easement whether improved or not; (2) connected or connectable to receive wastewater from other sewer mains or adjacent parcel side sewers whether improved or not improved; and (3) discharges either directly or indirectly into an established city sewer main or other approved discharge point.

Private sewer main means a main on private property that connects to the City’s sanitary sewer system. A private sewer main shall meet the same standards as a lateral and is subject to all lateral testing, certification and enforcement provisions of this chapter.
