Privacy and Security Official means the person or persons designated by the District, a Hybrid Entity, who is/are responsible for developing, maintaining, implementing and enforcing the District-wide Privacy Policies and Procedures, and for overseeing full compliance with HIPAA Regulations, and other applicable federal and state privacy laws.

  • Upon the determination of an actual data breach, and in consultation with the District’s Privacy and Security Official, the Business Associate will handle breach notifications to individuals, the HHS Office for Civil Rights (OCR), and potentially the media, on behalf of the District.
