Prior Carrier definition
Prior Carrier means any group medical benefits obtained through the Organization, for which this Master Contract is a replacement.
Prior Carrier means the previous insurer's group disability income policy, which the Policy replaced within 60 days of the previous insurer's termination date.
Prior Carrier means the carrier of group coverage provided by the employer or other entity immediately prior to the effective date of discontinuance and which has or has not been replaced by a succeeding carrier’s coverage plan.
Examples of Prior Carrier in a sentence
Prior Carrier Credit will be applied to the Preferred Provider Deductible and Coinsurance Maximum amounts only.
The Company acquired “tail coverage” for the period from May 7, 2016 to May 7, 2017 from the Prior Carrier, but such coverage only applies to periods for which this policy was in force.
Note: This Prior Carrier Deductible Credit provision ap- plies only to new Employees who are enrolling on the orig- inal effective date of this Plan, if this health Plan allows credit of the deductible from the Employer's previous health plan.
