Presentence report definition
Presentence report means a written report, based on the presentence investigation, made by the presentence investigator to the sentencing court for the purpose of aiding the court in reaching a just and rational disposition of an offender's case.
Presentence report means a report prepared by a court's probation officer, after a person has been convicted of an offense, summarizing for the court the background information needed to determine the appropriate sentence.
