Preparatory courses definition

Preparatory courses means courses designed for students who demonstrate a deficient skill level in the general competencies necessary to succeed in a standard postsecondary curriculum and include but are not limited to reading courses that focus on nontechnical vocabulary, word identification, and reading of everyday material; writing courses that focus primarily on grammar, usage, punctuation, and effective sentences and paragraphs; and mathematics courses primarily covering concepts introduced in elementary and intermediate algebra and geometry.

Examples of Preparatory courses in a sentence

  • Physical Education, College Preparatory courses, and private music lessons are excluded from this Agreement.

  • Preparatory courses for tertiary study, also known as bridging, access or enabling courses, are secondary level courses.

  • Investigational Product means the Study Drug identified above and the control material, as further detailed in the Protocol;

  • Commercialization or “Commercialize” means activities directed to marketing, promoting, research and development as required, manufacturing for sale, offering for sale, distributing, importing or selling a product, including sub-licensing or sub-contracting of these activities.

  • Activities has the meaning specified in Section 7.02(b).

  • Product Trademarks means the trademarks, service marks, accompanying logos, trade dress and indicia of origin used in connection with the distribution, marketing, Promotion and sale of each Licensed Product in the Territory. For purposes of clarity, the term Product Trademarks shall not include the corporate names and logos of either Party and shall include any internet domain names incorporating such Product Trademarks.

  • Manufacturing Facility means buildings and structures, including machinery and equipment, the primary purpose of which is or will be the manufacture of tangible goods or materials or the processing of such goods or materials by physical or chemical change.

  • Studies means activities needed to prepare project implementation, such as preparatory, mapping, feasibility, evaluation, testing and validation studies, including in the form of software, and any other technical support measure, including prior action to define and develop a project and decide on its financing, such as reconnaissance of the sites concerned and preparation of the financial package;

  • Regulatory Bodies means those government departments and regulatory, statutory and other entities, committees, ombudsmen and bodies which, whether under statute, rules, regulations, codes of practice or otherwise, are entitled to regulate, investigate, or influence the matters dealt with in the Contract or any other affairs of the Authority and “Regulatory Body” shall be construed accordingly.

  • Wastewater Treatment Works means an arrangement of devices and structures for treating wastewater, industrial wastes, and sludge. Sometimes used as synonymous with "waste treatment plant" or "wastewater treatment plant" or "pollution control plant".
