Preliminary Placement definition

Preliminary Placement means an out-of-home placement with a non-custodial parent, relative, or with a friend who is either a licensed foster parent or is willing to become a licensed foster parent, which is referred to in statute as an emergency placement with a non-custodial parent or relative as authorized in Section 62A-4a-209 or a post-shelter hearing placement with a non-custodial parent, relative, or friend as authorized in Section 78A-6-307.5.
