Preferred Use definition

Preferred Use means a use that is preferential over other alternatives because it is better aligned with the purpose and priorities of the Shoreline Master Program.
Preferred Use means the recommended use for a parcel, based on overall project objectives and/or significant adjacent uses as stated in these Regulations.

Examples of Preferred Use in a sentence

  • Upon expiration of the notice period and if no Extension Agreement is executed by the Board and the User then the User shall no longer have Exclusive Use or Preferred Use (both defined below) of the Turf Complex and this Agreement may be terminated by the Board.

  • On race day, the VFW has Preferred Use of the Shared Parking Area.

  • On Cruise Nights, the VFW has Preferred Use of the Shared Parking Area.

  • It is understood that during a Preferred Use event, the Town’s Community Center building, Town Playground and VFW building may remain open and accessible to visitors, and that visitors to either the Town facilities or the VFW facilities may park in the Shared Parking Area on a space-available basis.

  • Specific examples of Preferred Use and Shared Use events known at the time of this Agreement include but are not limited to: • VFW Cruise Nights – Occur Tuesday evenings, from Memorial Day to the Tuesday after Labor Day.

  • The parties have identified two types of uses: Preferred UsePreferred Use of the Shared Parking Area means that one party (VFW or the Town) has preferred and priority use of the Shared Parking Area for a specific event or time period.

  • Developer submission of preliminary market study concerning private development and the Preferred Use • January 24th: Planning Commission; Sketch Plan review.

  • The parties have identified two uses: Preferred UsePreferred Use of the Shared Parking Area means that one party (VFW or the Town) has Preferred Use of the Shared Parking Area for a specific event or time period.

  • During a Preferred Use event, the Community Center, Town Playground and VFW building may remain open and accessible to visitors.

  • The Owners shall make available and allow AWWU to continue to interconnect the AWWU Water Project to the Eklutna Hydroelectric Project, use the project’s intake, tunnel, and other Owners’ Facilities necessary to divert and use a portion of Project Water Rights up to 41 million gallons per day for public water supply purposes in a manner consistent with AWWU’s Preferred Use Status, the AWWU Water Permit, and Alaska Statute 46.15.150(b).
