Preemptible Service definition

Preemptible Service or “Preemptible Transponder” means a satellite service or transponder that is not entitled to restoration in the event it becomes a Transponder Failure and may be preempted at any time to restore: (i) a satellite failure; (ii) a Protected Service or Protected Transponder that becomes a transponder failure; or (iii) other service offerings of EHC or any of its Affiliates, including but not limited to mass move protection, construction and launch delay protection and launch failure protection.
Preemptible Service or "Preemptible Transponder" means a satellite service or transponder that is not entitled to restoration in the event it becomes a Transponder Failure and may be preempted at any time to restore (1) a satellite failure, (2) a Protected Service or Protected Transponder that becomes a transponder failure, or (3) other service offerings of SES Americom or any of its affiliates, including but not limited to mass move protection, construction and launch delay protection and launch failure protection. *** Certain confidential portions of this exhibit were omitted by means of redacting a portion of the text. Preemptible Service means a Service whose current status is subject to being discontinued, temporarily or permanently, in whole or in part, in favor of one or more Services of a higher priority as determined by Intelsat in accordance with Annex B Service Restoration.

Examples of Preemptible Service in a sentence

  • For each Service Transponder, Customer shall be provided Service in accordance with the protection level stated in the Service Order (e.g., Fully Protected Service, Transponder Protected Service, Non-Preemptible Service, Preemptible Service or Business Preemptible Service), as such protection level is defined and as the restoration rights are set forth in the Service Order.

  • A Preemptible Service will have no rights of Preemption and may be subject to Preemption.

  • In the event that (x) the Satellite on which Transponder Service is provided to User becomes a Satellite Failure, (y) a Transponder on which Transponder Service is provided becomes a Transponder Failure that cannot be restored using a Protection Transponder, or (z) GE-2 becomes a Satellite Failure, then PBS shall provide to User and User shall take from PBS Non- Preemptible Service on one (1) Transponder on the Protection Satellite, if Available, in accordance with this Section 2.2.

  • Non-Preemptible Service or Non-Preemptible Transponder: A satellite service or transponder that may not be preempted at any time to restore a Protected Service or Protected Transponder, but that is not entitled to be restored by preempting a Preemptible Service or Preemptible Transponder.

  • Customer shall pay a monthly service charge (the "Monthly Service Charge") of **************************************************************************** ******************************************************************************* per month for full-time Preemptible Service on one (1) Transponder on C-4 provided hereunder, which charges include all TT&C charges, and all charges for the Restoration Services provided by GE Americom in accordance with Article 8 E.

  • The Preemptible Service will be provided on C-4, Transponder number 12.

  • If, following preemption notification or attempted notification by Intelsat of preemption, Customer continues to use a Preemptible Service past the time indicated in the notification or the Service End Date, whichever is earlier, a fee equivalent to one month’s service charge shall apply for each day or part thereof of the continued unauthorized use.

  • A Preemptible Service may be suspended or terminated by Intelsat.

  • Protected Service or Protected Transponder: A service that is entitled to preempt a Preemptible Service.

  • The term for Preemptible Service on the Satellite (the "Service Term") provided under this Agreement ("Service Term") shall commence on the later of (i) November 1, 1996, or (ii) four (4) weeks after GE Americom has notified Customer that the communications satellite designated as "GE- 1" is Commercially Operational; provided, that the Service Term shall commence no later than -------- January 1, 1997.

  • Interruptible Service means service from approved contracts under which Company is not expressly obligated to deliver specific volumes within a given time period, and which anticipates and permits interruption on short notice, or service under approved contracts which expressly or impliedly require installation of alternate fuel capability.
