Powered definition

Powered means that a boat has some form of mechanical propulsion. ‘Unpowered Boats’ are boats that are propelled by human, wind or animal force. A boat that is normally towed by a powered boat is defined as Powered.
Powered means electric or motorized; in the case of a UMD, it also means any other technology that allows the UMD to be self-propelled.

  • Repowered means, with regard to a unit, replacement of a coal-fired boiler with one of the following coal-fired technologies at the same source as the coal-fired boiler:

  • Passenger compartment means the space for occupant accommodation, bounded by the roof, floor, side walls, doors, outside glazing and front bulkhead and the plane of the rear compartment bulkhead or the plane of the rear-seat back support.

  • kVA means kilovolt-ampere or kilovolt-amperes;

  • Diesel means a distillate oil which can be used as fuel for the operation of a compression ignition engine and which has an approximate boiling temperature of between 150 °C to 400 °C;

  • Landing means the level portion of a stairs located between flights of stairs or located at the top and foot of a stairs.

  • SDSL or "Symmetric Digital Subscriber Line" is a baseband DSL transmission technology that permits the bi-directional transmission from up to 160 kbps to 2.048 Mbps on a single pair. "VDSL" or "Very High Speed Digital Subscriber Line" is a baseband DSL transmission technology that permits the transmission of up to 52 Mbps downstream (from the Central Office to the End User Customer) and up to 2.3 Mbps digital signal upstream (from the End User Customer to the Central Office).
