Power Resources definition

Power Resources means the sources of Power with which UGIDC has made arrangements in order to provide Power under this Agreement.

Examples of Power Resources in a sentence

  • Provided that Seller maintains its ability to continue to satisfy Seller’s obligation to perform under this Agreement, Buyer’s consent shall not be required for Seller or its Affiliates to sell or transfer any interest in the Hydro-Québec Power Resources.

  • The Hydro-Québec Power Resources are operational and are operated and maintained in accordance with Good Utility Practice and Seller meets all requirements of the ISO-NE Rules and ISO-NE Practices to the extent required for the Delivery of the Products to Buyer.

  • Seller shall cause Hydro-Québec to maintain self-insurance with respect to the types of coverage and with such terms and conditions as are reasonable for a power system and transmission line, as applicable, of the type and size of the Hydro-Québec Power Resources and the Québec Line, and as otherwise legally required for the Hydro-Québec Power Resources and the Québec Line and consistent with Good Utility Practice, for the duration of the Term.

  • Hydro-Québec maintains self-insurance with respect to the types of coverage and with such terms and conditions as are reasonable for a power system and transmission line, as applicable, of the type and size of the Hydro-Québec Power Resources and the Québec Line, consistent with Good Utility Practice and as otherwise legally required for the Hydro-Québec Power Resources and the Québec Line.

  • Seller shall maintain or cause to be maintained in full force and effect all Permits (including without limitation all Québec Line Approvals) necessary for it to perform its obligations under this Agreement, including all Permits necessary to operate and maintain the Hydro-Québec Power Resources and the Québec Line, but excluding any U.S. Transmission Approvals (which, for the avoidance of doubt, shall be the responsibility of U.S. Transmission Provider).

  • The Interconnection Customer whose Generating Facility is an Intermittent Power Resource also shall submit data to the System Operator regarding all forced outages to the extent necessary for the System Operator’s development and deployment of power production forecasts for that class of Intermittent Power Resources.

  • Intermittent Power Resources that depend on wind as their fuel committed in this pass as a result of the consideration of the Wind Energy Forecast are not blocked in Passes 5 or 6.

  • Seller shall purchase all of the Products sold hereunder directly from its Affiliate that owns and operates the Hydro-Québec Power Resources and has and shall have good and marketable title to all Products sold and Delivered to Buyer under this Agreement, free and clear of all liens, charges and encumbrances, at the time of Delivery hereunder.

  • For the avoidance of doubt, Seller shall be responsible for procuring, at its expense, all Permits required for the operation of the Hydro-Québec Power Resources and all Québec Line Approvals in compliance with applicable requirements of Law.

  • There are no bankruptcy, insolvency, reorganization, receivership or other such proceedings pending against or being contemplated by Seller or its Affiliate that owns the Hydro-Québec Power Resources, or, to Seller’s knowledge, threatened against either of them.

Power Resources means wholesale power transactions, including bilateral contracts, however structured, and spot purchases or plants or equipment owned or leased, in whole or in part, by a utility for purposes of generating electricity, used in providing electricity, or options related to any of these.

Related to Power Resources

  • Water resources means all waters of the state occurring on the surface, in natural or artificial channels, lakes, reservoirs, or impoundments, and in subsurface aquifers, which are available, or which may be made available to agricultural, industrial, commercial, recreational, public, and domestic users;

  • Renewable energy resources means energy derived from solar, wind, geothermal, biomass, and hydroelectricity. A fuel cell using hydrogen derived from these eligible resources is also an eligible electric generation technology. Fossil and nuclear fuels and their derivatives are not eligible resources.

  • Energy Resource means a Generating Facility that is not a Capacity Resource.

  • Renewable energy resource means a resource that naturally replenishes over a human, not a geological, time frame and that is ultimately derived from solar power, water power, or wind power. Renewable energy resource does not include petroleum, nuclear, natural gas, or coal. A renewable energy resource comes from the sun or from thermal inertia of the earth and minimizes the output of toxic material in the conversion of the energy and includes, but is not limited to, all of the following:

  • Energy Storage Resource means a resource capable of receiving electric energy from the grid and storing it for later injection to the grid that participates in the PJM Energy, Capacity and/or Ancillary Services markets as a Market Participant.
