POVA definition

POVA means the Protection of Vulnerable Adults Scheme, which was created for the purpose of protecting vulnerable adults against harm that might be suffered while in the care of professionals.
POVA means the Protection of Vulnerable Adults Scheme which is a government scheme (or any amending scheme) where Individuals should be referred for the purpose of inclusion on the POVA list if they have abused, neglected or otherwise harmed vulnerable adults in their care or placed vulnerable adults in their care at risk of harm. By making statutory checks against the list, providers of services to vulnerable adults or children must not offer such individuals employment in care positions.

  • The Board must also ensure that all their staff delivering who will be delivering the Service have been checked against the provisional / confirmed Protection of Children Act (POCA) list or Protection of Vulnerable Adults (POVA) list.

  • As an Umbrella body accredited by the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB), the Company provides a service to obtain Disclosures and POVA First Checks on behalf of organisations not registered with the CRB.

  • POVA MAKES NO REPRESENTATION OR WARRANTY WITH RESPECT TO THE POVA SITE, THE API, THE LICENSED CONTENT AND POVA EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ANY AND ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, WITH RESPECT TO POVA, THE POVA SITE, THE API, THE LICENSED CONTENT, AND THE MARKS, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, INFRINGEMENT OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY ARISING FROM COURSE OF PERFORMANCE, COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE.

  • POVA DOES NOT WARRANT THAT USE OF THE API WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

  • Each party hereto represents and warrants to the other that it has full power and authority to enter into this Agreement and to consummate the transactions contemplated hereby.

  • The Client requests United Medicare Ltd (the Company) to provide an umbrella service for Criminal Records Disclosures and POVA First Checks.

Related to POVA

  • POPI means the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013;

  • Panchayat means an institution (by whatever name called) of self-government constituted under article 243B, for the rural areas;

  • POPIA means the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013;

  • LHSIA means the Local Health System Integration Act, 2006, and the regulations made under it, as it and they may be amended from time to time;

  • South Caucasus/Central and South Asian (SC/CASA) state means Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, or Uzbekistan.
