positive discrimination definition

positive discrimination means policies and practices which favour persons with disabilities;
positive discrimination means treating someone more favourably only because they have a protected characteristic, for example setting a quota for recruitment from a specific group rather than setting in place action to support a disadvantaged group with the aim of increasing representation.

  • Unlawful discrimination means any complaint of unlawful discrimination based on a category protected under Title 5, section 59300, including sexual harassment and retaliation.

  • Progressive discipline means a process of applying and documenting disciplinary actions progressing from less to more serious depending on the employee’s history and the nature of the offense.
