Plate line definition

Plate line means a horizontal structural member, such as a timber, that provides the bearing and anchorage for the trusses of a roof or the rafters.
Plate line as used in this Ordinance shall mean the point at which any part of the roof structure first touches, or bears upon, an external wall.
