Plant Trip definition

Plant Trip means the unexpected technical failure of an End User’s Facilities to operate on any Day under the anticipated operating conditions for that Day;
Plant Trip means the sudden and immediate removal of the Seller's Facility from service as a result of an immediate mechanical/electrical/hydraulic control system trip or operator initiated trip/shutdown which requires the Company to take immediate steps to place an unscheduled generator on line to make up for the loss of output of the Seller's Facility; provided, however, that a Plant Trip shall not include: (i) any such removal which occurs within forty-eight (48) hours of the time at which the Seller's Facility is restarted following an outage; (ii) trips caused or initiated by the Company; or (iii) trips occurring during periods when the Seller has continued to furnish capacity to the Company at the request of the Company's Production Manager after the Seller has notified the Company's Production Manager that the Seller's Facility is likely to trip. Examples of Plant Trip in a sentence

  • For each Plant Trip in excess of 6 per contract year, the Seller shall pay $10,000 to the Company.

  • AES Hawaii shall provide relay contact(s) and/or other indication(s) from the Facility to allow instantaneous tripping of the Facility’s auxiliary loads during a Full Plant Trip.

  • To allow HECO to evaluate the information provided by Kalaeloa, Kalaeloa shall cooperate in such physical inspections of the Facility pursuant to Section 9.1 of the Power Purchase Agreement as may be reasonably required by HECO during and after completion of the Full Plant Trip Reduction Improvements.

  • If Kalaeloa is not satisfied with the exercise of HECO’s sole discretion in determining whether Kalaeloa has adequately addressed such circumstances or HECO is not reasonably prompt in responding to Kalaeloa, Kalaeloa may, at its own expense, submit the issue of whether or not Kalaeloa has addressed the circumstances giving rise to the Full Plant Trip problem to an independent engineer from the list of qualified engineers maintained pursuant to Section 3.F(6) (the “Section 3.F(6) List”).

  • Accordingly, liquidated damages shall still be payable as provided in Sections 27.2.2 through 27.2.4 for all Full Plant Trip (Category I) and/or Full Plant Trip (Category II) events that occur during a period for which there has been a deduction from the Capacity Charge for New Capacity pursuant to Section 27.2.5.

  • Full Plant Trip - The sudden and immediate removal of the Facility’s two boilers and/or generator from service as a result of immediate mechanical/electrical/hydraulic control system trips or AES Hawaii initiated trips/shutdowns; provided, however, that a Full Plant Trip shall not include any trip that is requested, caused or initiated by HECO.

  • For each Plant Trip in excess of six (6) per contract year, the Seller shall pay $10,000 to the Company.
