Plain Par Bond definition

Plain Par Bond means a qualified tender obligation or an obligation (i) that is issued with not more than a De Minimis Amount of original issue discount or premium;
Plain Par Bond or "Plain Par Investment" means a Bond or an investment (i) issued with not more than a De Minimis Amount of original issue discount or premium (or in the case of investments only, if acquired after its issue date not more than a De Minimis Amount of market discount), (ii) issued for a price that does not include accrued interest other than Pre-Issuance Accrued Interest, (iii) bears interest at either a single, fixed rate at all times or variable interest calculated pursuant to an objective index (see section 1275 of the Code), payable at least annually and (iv) its lowest redemption price is not less than its outstanding principal. The Bonds are Plain Par Bonds.
Plain Par Bond means a qualified tender bond as described in IRS Notice 88-130, 1988-2(C) or a bond that (i) is issued with not more than a De minimis Amount of original issue discount, or if acquired on a date other than the issue date, acquired with not more than a De minimis Amount of market discount or premium, (ii) is issued for a price that does not include accrued interest other than interest that accrues up to one year prior to issuance and is paid within one year afterwards, (iii) bears interest from the issue date at a single stated fixed rate or is a variable rate obligation under Section 1275 of the Code that pays interest at least annually, and (iv) has a lowest stated redemption price not less than its outstanding stated principal amount.

More Definitions of Plain Par Bond

Plain Par Bond means a bond (1) issued with not more than a de minimis amount of original issue discount or premium, (2) issued for a price that does not include accrued interest other than Pre-Issuance Accrued Interest, (3) that bears interest from the issue date at a single, stated, fixed rate or that is a variable rate debt instrument within the meaning of Section 1275 of the Code, in each case with interest unconditionally payable at lease annually, and (4) that has a lowest stated redemption price that is not less than its outstanding stated principal amount. For this purpose, a "de minimis" amount means, with reference to original issue discount or premium, an amount that does not exceed 2 percent multiplied by the stated redemption price at maturity, plus any original issue premium that is attributable exclusively to reasonable underwriters' compensation.
Plain Par Bond. (or "PLAIN PAR INVESTMENT") shall mean a bond (or an investment) (i) issued (or in the case of an investment acquired on a date other than the issue date, acquired) with not more than a de minimis amount (I.E., two percent of stated principal amount) of original issue discount or original issue premium; (ii) issued for a price that does not include accrued interest, other than Pre-Issuance Accrued Interest; (iii) that bears interest from the issue date at a single, stated, fixed rate or that is a variable rate debt instrument under section 1275 of the Code, in each case with interest payable at least annually; and (iv) that has a lowest stated redemption price that is not less than its outstanding principal amount.
Plain Par Bond means a Qualified Tender Bond or a bond issued with not more than two percent (2 %) original issue discount or premium, the Issue Price of which does not include interest other than pre- issuance accrued interest, which bears interest from the issue date at a single, stated fixed rate or that is a variable rate instrument, interest is unconditionally payable at least annually, and has a lowest stated redemption price that is not less than its outstanding stated principal amount.

  • Corporate bond means a senior secured debt obligation issued by a domestic business entity and rated not lower than “AA-” or the equivalent by a nationally recognized investment rating firm. The term does not include a debt obligation that, on conversion, would result in the holder becoming a stockholder or shareholder in the entity, or any affiliate or subsidiary of the entity, that issued the debt obligation, or is an unsecured debt obligation.   • Capital Security means a preferred undivided beneficial interest in the assets of the Issuer Trust, having a Liquidation Amount of $25 and having the rights provided therefor in this Trust Agreement, including the right to receive Distributions and a Liquidation Distribution as provided herein.

  • First Mortgage Indenture means a first mortgage indenture pursuant to which any Borrower or any Subsidiary of any Borrower may issue bonds, notes or similar instruments secured by a lien on all or substantially all of such Borrower’s or such Subsidiary’s fixed assets, as the case may be.
