Pitch angle definition
Pitch angle is the angle of a fixed linear reference connecting two reference points on the front left or right door sill (as applicable), relative to a level surface or horizontal reference plane. An example of a suitable fixed linear reference for left side door sill pitch angle measurement is illustrated in Figure 9-1 of Annex 9.
Examples of Pitch angle in a sentence
The meteorological quantities to be measured are: • Wind speed • Wind shear • Wind direction • Air temperature • Temperature gradient • Air density The operational quantities are: • Electrical power • Rotor speed • Pitch angle • Yaw position • Rotor azimuth • Grid connection • Brake status • Wind turbine status (relevant parameters) In case of prototype tests and in order to minimise other disturbing effects, siting of the test turbine in complex terrain is to be avoided.
