Physically or mentally disabled definition

Physically or mentally disabled. Means a person who, owing to physical or mental disability, is unfit to obtain by virtue of any service, employment or profession the means needed to enable him or her to provide for his or her maintenance. (Social Assistance Act, No. 6 of 2004);
Physically or mentally disabled shall have the meaning provided in Section 4.5 of the Employment Agreement.

  • Physically or mentally disabled dependents may continue coverage beyond the limiting age, upon receipt of acceptable medical evidence as requested by the plans.

  • Under this act, a "missing endangered person" is someone whose whereabouts are unknown and who is: (1) Physically or mentally disabled to the degree that the person is dependent upon an agency or another individual; (2) Missing under circumstances indicating that the missing person's safety may be in danger; or (3) Missing under involuntary or unknown circumstances.

  • Intellectually Disabled means a disability that is characterized by significantly below average general cognitive functioning existing concurrently with deficits in adaptive behavior; manifested during the developmental period that adversely affects a student's educational performance and is characterized by one of the following:
