Polymer means a substance consisting of molecules characterised by the sequence of one or more types of monomer units. Such molecules must be distributed over a range of molecular weights wherein differences in the molecular weight are primarily attributable to differences in the number of monomer units. Insight as used in this clause, means technical visibility into the Program, maintained through audit, surveillance, assessment of trends and metrics, software independent verification and validation, the flight readiness review process, and review or independent assessment of out-of-family anomalies occurring in any phase of the program.
Metallic coating means a coating which contains more than five grams of metal particles per liter of coating, as applied. Metal particles are pieces of a pure elemental metal or a combination of elemental metals.
