PfP SOFA definition

PfP SOFA means the Agreement among the States Parties to the North Atlantic Treaty and the other States Participating in the Partnership for Peace regarding the Status of Their Forces, signed in Brussels on 19 June 1995, including the Additional Protocol to this Agreement, dated 19 June 1995, the Further Additional Protocol, dated 19 December 1997, and any further Protocols thereto which enter into force in the territory of the Portuguese Republic;

Im additiom to the area to which the Paris Protocol applies, the presemt Protocol shall apply to the territory of all States Parties to the presemt Protocol, as described im Article II paragraph 1 of the PfP SOFA.

Examples of PfP SOFA in a sentence

  • This objection shall not preclude the entry into force of the PfP SOFA and the Additional Protocol thereto between the Russian Federation and Finland.

  • The Parties shall facilitate the execution of the Agreement, the Protocol, the PfP SOFA, and this Supplementary Agreement and shall endeavour to cooperate in the most efficient manner to effectively implement the said agreements.

  • The Government of Finland recalls Article III(2)(b) of the Nato SOFA and notes that such a requirement would constitute an additional obligation for other Parties to the PfP SOFA which would unduly hamper the co-operation under this Treaty.

  • The provisions of PfP SOFA (Agreement Among the States Parties to the North Atlantic Treaty and the Other States Participating in the Partnership for Peace regarding the Status of Their Forces) and its Additional Protocol, done on June 19, 1995, shall be duly applicable, mutatis mutandis, to this agreement, following the completion of the ratification processes of these instruments by the Parties.

  • Claims not covered by the PfP SOFA shall be governed by applicable national and international law binding upon the Parties.

  • If at the date when this Agreement enters into force there are still Parties which have not yet ratified PfP SOFA, the legal status of the Force will be defined by a separate Agreement among all Parties.

  • Thus, the PfP SOFA will become operative without Russian Federation benefiting from its reservations.

  • FP will be implemented in accordance with NATO policy and procedures and in a manner consistent with the NATO or PfP SOFA.
