Permanent separation definition

Permanent separation means the resignation, retirement, or otherwise voluntarily or involuntarily departure from his or her employing law enforcement agency.
Permanent separation means that the relationship between the separated employee and the former employer has been severed, i.e., there is no continuing or on‐going employment relationship, there is no definite date of recall. For the purpose of determining whether a plant closing has occurred, an employee who has transferred to another facility owned or operated by the employer shall not be considered to be permanently separated.
